TRANSNATIONAL WORKING VISIT TO THE MALDIVES
Between 3 – 8 October 2024, members of the Diplomacy, Security and Defence Research Organization (DSD RO) team participated in the second transnational working meeting held in the Maldives as part of the Erasmus+ project – “Inclusive Leadership for Ethical and Multicultural Future Youth Leaders” (ILED-EMFYL).
This meeting played a crucial role in strengthening the relationships with our partners: Ministry For Gozo (MGOZ) from Malta, Igor Vitale International srl (IVI-srl) from Italy, and ADDU Women’s Association (AWA) from the Maldives. Discussions focused on the progress achieved so far and on defining the next steps of the project. Key topics included the finalization of the project guide, the development of the digital course on inclusive leadership, the creation of the policy recommendation guide in this field, and the organization of national conferences in Romania, Italy, and the Maldives. The international conference in Malta, which will mark the dissemination of the project’s final results, was also a major point of focus.
The meeting in the Maldives provided an excellent opportunity to reinforce international collaboration and facilitate the exchange of ideas and best practices among the four organizations. This constructive dialogue is essential to achieving the project’s objectives, which aim to promote inclusive leadership among young people in the increasingly complex context of a multicultural society. The meeting not only set the strategic directions for the future but also provided a platform to deepen understanding and implementation of practices that support ethical and multicultural leadership among youth.
In addition to the formal discussions, the visit offered a unique opportunity for cultural exchanges between delegations from Malta, Italy, Romania, and the Maldives. The personal and professional experiences shared during the meeting created a strong foundation for long-term fruitful collaboration, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation for the success of the project.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our colleagues from the ADDU Women’s Association for their exceptional hospitality and flawless organization of this event. The close collaboration between our organizations represents an important step in promoting the values of inclusion and diversity, contributing to the development of a more equitable and inclusive leadership environment for future leaders across the globe.
