LEADERSHIP AND DIPLOMATIC PSYCHOLOGY
The book “Leadership and diplomatic psychology” exposes, during the four parts, relevant aspects related to diplomatic psychology and leadership, as follows:
In the first part, entitled “Diplomatic psychology – case studies”, a series of themes inspired by real life, specific to the international environment, are presented. Thus, the reader can learn elements about the recruitment, training and retention of diplomats, the use of a foreign language as a diplomatic tool, challenges of diplomacy in the virtual environment, elements about the use of “social engineering” in international relations and many others.
In the second part, entitled “Diplomatic psychology and international security”, the authors of the articles proposed themes related to the management of terrorism and aggression in the international environment.
The third part, called “Diplomatic psychology – vector of modernization of diplomacy” indicates topics of interest related to adaptation to the diplomatic environment, psychological contracts in the diplomatic environment, the psychological profile of the diplomat, communication in diplomacy and many others.
The fourth part, called “Practical applications of leadership” focuses on topics related to the training and development of political, diplomatic, military, police and intelligence leaders, as well as topics that warn about the ill effects of toxic leadership.
