An important goal of the Environment Security, Our Future Security (E-SEC) Project is to train its participants to develop certain skills that could contribute to saving the environment. These skills will form the basis of the formation of complex behaviors to protect and save the natural environment.
Therefore, the aim is to develop ”green skills” for the protection of the natural environment and the fight against climate change, such as: interest in topics related to environmental protection and the fight against climate change, the development of critical thinking, the development of long-term thinking on environmental security, the development of the capacity to analyse environmental issues and the consequences arising from the degradation of the natural environment, promoting development supporting initiatives to save the environment, offsetting carbon emissions, developing the capacity to solve problems in the field of environmental protection, reusing goods and materials, saving nature by any means, promoting green education, saving resources and energy, developing the ability to implement a project to protect the environment, reduce energy consumption and waste, choose sustainable and environmentally friendly food and mobility models.
In order todevelopsuch “green” behaviours, participants will be directly involved in actions to save the natural environment. Thus, skills will be formed, supported by a strong green attitude. These behaviours will aim at: saving energy, sorting garbage, reducing household waste, using ecological items, reusing seemingly useless objects, reducing paper consumption at work, etc.
Therefore, it is important that green attitudes materialize in concrete behavioral actions to save the natural environment.
