PRACTICAL-APPLICATIVE ASPECTS OF THE LEADERSHIP PSYCHOLOGY

This book presents, in its seven parts, relevant aspects of the use of leadership psychology in real life.

Thus, in the first part, entitled “The psychological profile of the leader” are presented the most relevant features of some leaders, who occupy positions in the military system, in the political system, in education, in the central administration of the state. The social and international challenges that leaders have to deal with are carefully explained.

The second part, entitled “Psychological aspects of the organization’s management” brings to the reader’s attention the most significant elements of the management of diplomatic, military, police, educational, technical, sports, religious organizations, etc.

The third part, entitled “Motivating subordinates” draws attention to one of the most delicate missions of the leader and the manager – motivating subordinates.

The fourth part, entitled “Organizational culture and its role in increasing performance” presents a set of practical examples in which organizations can achieve superior results, because there is an organizational culture conducive to performance.

The fifth part, entitled “Toxic Leadership and Organizational Performance” draws attention to deviations that may occur in the management of an organization. The example set provided by this volume helps the reader understand how harmful leadership can be to the organization.

 The sixth part of this book is dedicated to “Communication in the organization.”

The last part, “The psychological facets of leadership and management” is a scientific approach to identify the differences, but also the similarities between these two concepts, on the one hand, and how they work together, in the organization, on the other hand. The work is a premiere, because it brings together the views of a significant number of practitioners, graduates of the postgraduate program “Leadership and managerial skills”, organized by the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Bucharest.
